This Tumblr (though the Mottos are fun and in jest) is meant to clear up the misunderstandings about Slytherin house through the "Truths" posted weekly.

I promise I will never follow a blog, post something, or reblog something that has anything to do with Slytherins being Death Eaters, or evil, or mean, or bullies.

Because that’s just not true.

Especially now that Pottermore has come about and people are actually being sorted by Jo Rowling, I don’t think it’s very respectful for someone to immediately judge a person because they were sorted into Slytherin. No one deserves to be labeled as an “untrustworthy bully”, “spineless twat”, or the like just because they were sorted into a house on Pottermore. Please. There are untrustworthy bullies and spineless twats everywhere you go.

I also created this blog because I couldn't stop thinking about the younger kids on Pottermore. The ones who’ve posted on the Pottermore tracked tag that they were upset to get sorted into Slytherin because they think it makes them a bad person, or that Jo Rowling has told them that they're bad people, etc.

This blog is kind of for them too. <3
